Strange Viewer Move.

Post by GabrielR922 » Mon Mar 15, 2021 6:19 pm

Hi All.

I'm here to report something i found and can't find any configuration about it.

The path viewer seem to be way to sensitive if you are using the Toggle Orthographic/Perspective option enabled.

After ~3 seconds holding the mouse clicked it becomes less sensitive and "good".

Played around with configs in the Viewer Setup but seem to doesn't affect this. The Zoom also seem to move in big steps.

Attached the video.

Thanks.

Hi Gabriel,

This issue is turning out to be somewhat complex as there isn’t a simple way to translate orthographic to perspective views. Give us some time to research it. I think it is currently worse for systems that have large working areas which I believe you have.

Hi Tom.

How do the viewer know that i have a large machine ?
Using soft limits or with the X and Y dimension that i'm currently at?
because usually i use the machine in low dimensions value (~0-800) and g-codes with part sizes around 500mm.

Also, the problem is when I'm using the view that the Z moves aren't offset from each other.

I resume is a ortographic view, right ? With the other view I don't have problem.

Thanks Tom.

Hi Gabriel,

Sorry this took so long it was complicated.

Here is a patched KMotionCNC.exe for Version 4.35f. Copy to the C:\KMotion435f\KMotion\Release Folder.

Source code changes are here if you need them.

We think it works better in most modes. Please let us know if you find any issues.

Regarding your large machine you sent me a Job previously.

Hi Tom!

Problem complete solved, thanks for the response!!
The zoom with the mouse scroll seem a little sensitive, but using the click/mouse movement is very smooth.

Awesome Job by you and your team!

Best Regards!

Hi Tom!

Not a bug, but a suggetion!

Why don't show the axes in the viewer relative to the part.

not using G53 (machine) offset as it is now.

that would solve the problem about the machine size.

I think Mach3 is this way!

Thanks.
