Using Max Following Error with stepper motor

Post by jurgisplazio » Mon May 04, 2020 2:37 pm

Hi,I have added encoder to stepper motors to make sure that stepper dont miss any steps. If possible I dont want to use closed loop. But to just stop when stepper loses steps.I have setup max following error to 10.When stepper loses steps it doesn't stop .What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

Hi jurgisplazio,

In that case configure output mode as CL Step and set the PID and Feed Forward gains to zero so no corrections are made.
