Adding a laser head to CNC router

Hello,
I am interested in adding a cutting/engraving laser to my CNC machine. I have a DIY 4 axis machine using KFLOP with 3rd party step controllers and a Konnect board. My spindle is a router with a SuperPID speed control that works with PWM input signal.

My current CAM software is Vectric Aspire. and I will be adding the new laser module.

I would like to add a diode type laser head to my machine. I am hoping I can get some advice from anyone who may have done this already. I am looking for help on the best way how to control the laser power using my current setup or possibly an additional laser control board.
