Re: C program streams
Hi Taras, One solution might be to configure the buttons to execute in for example Thread 3, which invokes the real program to run in Thread 4 only if Thread 4 is not active. For Example the button executes this in Thread 3: #include "KMotionDef.h" #define TMP 10 // which spare persist to use to tra...

Re: 5 axis CNC Router/3d printer
Hi George, I don't think that should be necessary. As long as there is an addition one way or another it should work the same. The only issue should be with enabling where we don't necessarily know where the machine physically is within the backlash. We assume we are in the negative end of the backl...

Re: G code error
Hi Katie,
I think you might be running the Job in inches mode where the comments show a G21 for mm mode.

Re: 5 axis CNC Router/3d printer
Hi George, At this point it does look mechanical because both Kmotion and Tecnik zero all the time. So the Teknik internal encoder position matches the commanded position? I wouldn't expect there to be zero error. How much error is there? Does the MoveAtVel account for the Backlash value? Yes it sho...

Re: Kogna debug suggestions
Well that's the problem, because I do want to verify that that struct is not trashed. For example, it contains a lot of function pointers, which should be completely untouched after init. But I'll worry about that once I get the basic ability to reset without power cycling. Ah yes. In that case you...

Re: 5 axis CNC Router/3d printer
Hi George, Software backlash correction rarely works well. It assumes the backlash is constant but this is more dependent on distance moved. The Backlash Rate is the rate the Backlash correction is applied. For example if the Backlash Amount is 100 steps and the rate is 5000 steps/sec then the Backl...

Hi Taras,
Did you watch the video? Read the manuals? Look at the code? That’s all we have.

Re: Kogna ethernet connection with DHCP
Hi Gerald, It does make me appreciate how easy Kflop is with its USB connection... but I suppose the price of progress.. I agree. The PC and Kogna are both connected to a small 5 port router. That is also connected to a modem. I do find it a bit unclear who is requesting and who is assigning, but fo...

Re: Kogna debug suggestions
I'm not sure what you mean. Its ok to use the beginning of the gather buffer for your application as long as you don't expect it to be preserved after a re-boot like your crash post-mortem stuff might expect.
