Can a checkbox or better yet a button be used to set jog mode? Instead of having the different jog buttons. So one jog button can be Step movement or continuous, depending on the state of Jog Mode button.
Thanks,
Troy

Re: DMM-TECH Analog Tunning
Hi Tom, Did some more tuning now that i know i was looking at the error plots wrong. Added the Feed Forward and replaced filter with 2nd order. This filter made motors quieter ,idle and running. Feed Forward helped a lot. Now i figure it is within .0005". This is what i was expecting out of this mac...

Re: DMM-TECH Analog Tunning
Hay Tom, Forgot to mention that after increasing P and I that the servo holding stiffened up nicely. I can no longer rotate ball screw by hand when ad idle. When reading the error plot which should i focus as the overall error, the height of tallest spikes or the difference between the 2 lines on th...

Re: DMM-TECH Analog Tunning
Hi Tom, So i made some changes as you said and checked voltages. The voltages looks like the highest is 5V and average around3.5-4v on the Analog screen with DAC highest at 1100 and average about 550-650. This was done running a test move of 5" or 203200 counts. I have also made some other changes. ...

Re: DMM-TECH Analog Tunning
I eneded up reducing Jerk to 1.1+7 to remove small Output clip. Something iam trying to do now is tighten up servo when it is not moving. I can still easily rotate ballscrew and show about 5 counts in the Axis Position window. When in Step/Dir i could not move it at all. What settings affect this? I...

Re: DMM-TECH Analog Tunning
Hi Tom, The Velocity setting is what i was able to achieve in CL Step/Direction mode. It was very fast. :) But in Analog it wants to runaway real easy. Thats why i only did a 1" (20320) move. m_murray gave me his settings from his 4th axis(Analog mode), just got done trying them and info in your lin...

Re: DMM-TECH Analog Tunning
Hi Tom, Ok, now that i have the Z axis mount reworked and filters on drives, as i mentioned on the CNCzone post, iam ready to try Analog mode again. Attached is just a base movement so far on X axis under Analog Closed Loop. This is a test move of 1.0" (20320 counts). I didnt move further as i was w...

Re: G73 Quick Peck Drill
Some controls allow a certain amount to retract by another letter designation while retaining the normal 'R' plane of return. And other controls (Fanuc) are hard coded so when a G73 (also know as Chip Breaker) is issued they will retract say .010-.015" at the end of each peck. Which is normally enou...

G73 Quick Peck Drill
Hi Tom,
Is there certain way KMCNC handles G73 or is it not supported yet?
Thanks,
Troy
