Re: Encoder issues

Hi Eetu, If you return to the same encoder position and the axis is not in the same physical position then the encoders have some problem. Possibly a grounding problem, noise problem, cable problem, or encoder alignment problem. Sometimes when an encoder cable is constantly flexed it can fail so tha...

Re: 5 axis CNC Router/3d printer

Hi George,

We don’t think it is cost effective to repair KFLOPs. If the FPGA is getting hot it is likely bad. But if other things are bad and it is replaced it may be damaged again. You might check the 3.3V and 2.4V regulators after the FPGA is removed.

Re: 5 axis CNC Router/3d printer

That is normal. There is capacitance across the supplies.

But unfortunately that doesn’t show the Kanalog is good. The only real way you can test it is to connect to a KFLOP.

Re: IOs status mismatch between hardware and software.

Hi Guilherme, That would indicate noise being introduced into the KFLOP - Konnect cable. Are they as short as possible? Are they away from noisy signals? Do you have an oscilloscope to check for noise? Or it could be noise on GND. Are your noise producing signals using a separate isolated ground? Yo...

Hi Noel,

Yes pulse and direction. Or analog if you have a Kanalog.

Re: how to implement a security switch launching a program / gcode

Hi Guilherme, There was a bug regarding this. GCode execution was beginning before the Cycle Start Action was complete. Here is a patch for Version 4.35h. KMotionCNC.exe Download and copy to the C:\KMotion435h\KMotion\Release folder. The following code seems to now work now for me: #include "Homing....

Re: Button to switch between coordinate systems

Hi Guilherme,

It seems to me that would result in a horizontally flipped result. Like this:

I suppose for symetrical patterns it works.

All I can think of is what I said earlier.

Re: Header (.h) and Source (.c) files

Hi Guilherme, The example in your reference compiles 2 files separately and then links the 2 files together. KMotion is set up to simply compile one file and link it. So you must also include InitConfig.c in InitConfigButtonAction.c to form one .c file with everything. There are ways to have multipl...
