Spindle Override Slider

Tom, A couple of queries I hope you can help me with please. I need a slider to control the glue dispense time as the lue viscosity varies depending on the factory temperature. The glue secures the placed inserts in the mould to stop them moving when the mould is filled with concrete. I was hoping t...

Home Position Machine Coords Offset

Tom, Thanks for the help with geometric correction over long axis travels late last year. Last week we did a 50 metre error correction run in 250mm increments. The error correction worked well. We now the original Machine and the new on on tge same X axis track using the same X axis Machine coordina...

Re: Non Linear Error Correction

Tom, Thanks for your prompt attention and helping with this issue. I will try your solution in simulation over the weekend as there is plenty of other commissioning work / C code to add for protection around the machine operation and then on the real machine next week after these initial trials. As ...

Re: Non Linear Error Correction

Tom, The machine Y axis carriage does travel 52 metres along a narrow mould bench that is divided into 2.5 metre to 8 metre sections. The 8 axis screen file i sent last week illustrates the functions of the machine. Our machine picks steel pins from a storage carousel on the machine and places them ...

Non Linear Error Correction

Tom, I expected implementing a Geo file would be easy however after a day of trial and error i need to ask for help please. The 8 axis machine has a 50 metre long Y axis that needs error linear compensation interpolated over discrete measurement points as recorded by a laser tracker at 500mm increme...

8 Axis Screen

Tom, I have attached a screen shot of my 8 axis screen. on Fed hold two sets of arrows are displayed. Where do they come from and how can i remove them please ? I have included a zip file of the new buttons we have created, please feel free to include in future versions. Is there a way to run a port...

KMotion CNC Program Exit

Tom,
When we close KMotion CNC we would like to clear various output bits to disable the main drive contactor and disable the servo drives so that the machine is left safe.
Is there an on exit function or can we add code around the program close message box.

Manual entry (MDI)

Tom,
Is there a way to clear the manual entry list so that I only have the G code moves for testing a paticular operation of the 8 axis machine i am testing to reduce tge chance of moving the wrong axis ?

Kogna Reset output pin

Tom,
I might have missed the documentation regarding the functionality of the Kogna Reset pin output.
I assume it remains at logic level low until the Kogna is booted and ready to connect ?
The intention is to drive an ssr which is in series with the drives / enable hardware.
Regards,
Tim

Re: 8 axis KMotion CNC Screen & commercial help

Tom, I will hopefully post video tomorrow of the original machines we manufactured 17 years ago and have run most days. After more thinking and experimentation I think the standard 6 axis screen will work with the 6 linear axis and a C program called by an M code will move the 2 rotary axis. I assum...
