Subject: limit switch question
I have X,Y,Z,A + and - limit switches, plus a remote estop button all tied in series feeding 24 volts into "opto in 7"( pin 143 ). This is wired so if any limit or e-stop opens, or if a wire breaks, it will kill the 24 volts and pin 143 goes low. All of my limits are set to watch limit, stop when low, pin 143, stop movement. The problem i have is, when I move any axis with an arrow key and trip a limit with my finger, bringing pin 143 low, the axis does not stop, but it does stop when I release the switch and pin 143 goes back high.

Any ideas???

Todd

Hi Todd,

Try using the "Kill Motor Drive" Limit Switch Mode.  The "Stop Movement" was an attempt to do a feedhold rather than disable the axis.
