Subject: SnapAmp Power Supply

Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a SnapAMP PSU. I have been looking around and am having trouble finding one that is around 80V and 20 Amps (for two drives).

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

I have been using AnTek power supplies for a couple of years with SnapAmps.  http://www.antekinc.com

They have a good variety of power options available.

Hope this helps,
David.

David,

Thanks! Those are significantly cheaper than a switching power supply. I see that some of them have a 5V output. Do you use this to power encoders or the KFlop board?

Hi Scott,

I usually buy them with a 5V supply and also a 12V or 24V depending upon the machine I'm building. The amperage is limited on the secondary supplies, but often is suitable.

Tom pointed me towards these is the first place and they have worked out well.
