This particular screen layout was setup for my touch screen monitor. A wide screen monitor will have more room to play with. I have a wide screen version GUI as well.

I made some changes to the G viewer that I feel are pretty important. I changed the view from a perspective view to orthogonal. A top down view in perspective doesn't give you an indication of what is lining up, etc. This can be toggled however. I also made arc commands a different color, (colors are now selectable). It now also properly handles tool length compensation.

Hi Eric great job. I'm using dynamotion for oxy flame cutting and i need to add two variables, preheat_time and pierce_time in the gui, and pass them to a c program which will be called every time gcode M3 will be invoked.
Because I'm not so experienced in MFC C++ can you help me out of how can i do it? Can you send me some code example? Regards.

Hi geast1967,
Visual Studio MFC Programming is fairly complex depending on your background. KMotionCNC itself has lots of examples of using variables.
There are lots of on-line tutorials on how to do
Windows MFC programming. You will have to learn the MFC basics before trying to change KMotionCNC.
Here is one tutorial that relates to getting parameters from a Windows Screen:
http://www.dreamincode.net/forums/topic/57443-mfc-length-converter-tutorial/
See if you are successfully able to complete this simple tutorial. It shows how to add a Edit control to a screen, how to add a member variable to your class, how to do the data exchange between the screen control and the variable, and how to use the variable.

The tutorial was very helpful many thanks. I managed to add two edit control boxes on the dialog on the KmotionCNC project, but when i try to add a variable to them the dialog menu for add variable is gray out. What i'm doing wrong here?. And also after that step i have to pass those variables to the intepreter on Kmotion board. Can you explain how the mechanism works on KmotionCNC when a user button or a Mx gcode command call a c programm. You can choose the thread and a
variable. What is that variable?.It is not well documented in the help file. Regards

Hi Eric. Is it possible to get this KMotionCNC of yours? Have you anywhere upload the files? Regards
