Subject: Konnect 3v3 input
Hi Tom,

Are you able to advise whether the JP4 or JP6 connectors on the KFlop can provide sufficient current on the 3v3 rail to power a Konnect?

I have a 24v and 5v PSU's in my system and am currently using a Buck converter to drop the 5v rail down to the 3v3 requested by the Konnect.

It would be nice if I could remove the Buck converter from the system.

Are you able to advise whether I'd be able to remove this Buck converter from the system?

Thanks,

Lindsay

Hi Linday,

Konnect can utilize the 3.3V from KFLOP. No need for an additional supply.   It's actually not a good to have an external supply as it may "fight" with the KFLOP supply.

Thanks Tom.

Out of interest, is the 5v rail on the KFlop able to supply the Konnect too?

It would tidy up some of the wiring (i.e. not needing to do anything to that Konnect connector)

Thanks,

Lindsay

Hi Lindsay,

Yes. That connector was only intended to output small currents to your circuitry if helpful for you.
