Subject: Dynomotion softlimits settings through dotnet
I've been setting an axis softlimits with the dotnet interface but can't
seem to find any of the soft limits options (from KMotionDef.h). My goal
is to be able to change the behavior when a soft limit is hit to be more
abrupt if possible. Are the softlimits options tucked away somewhere
else or is there another method to adjust them via dotnet?

Hi Sam,

I'm not sure what soft limit options you are referring to.  I don't believe there is any option to make the axes stop more abruptly other than increasing the Acceleration and Jerk settings.

Otherwise you would need to create a C Program loop and perform soft limits yourself.

Regards

TK

I may be confusing 'Soft Limits' with 'Limit Switch Options'. Since Limit Switch Options allowed a few different stop types (Kill, Disallow, Stop Movement) I was assuming (wrongly so it seems) that those options were available for Soft Limits as well. "Disallow Drive Into Limit" is what I was attempted to perform, but for Soft Limits.

I will explore the C Program suggestion you provided, handing values back and forth via the user variables....thanks!
