So I had some time today to load 434i

but I guess i'm a little confused with your latest custom screens, as the control objects seem to disappear when I attempt to use them.

I press the arrow expand button to view the variables and the feed rate setting labels disappear, I hit the same button again and it then disappears. I go to the screen custom load option and then hit OK and they all reappear.

Also I can see I will have to use a higher res monitor then using this laptop (1366 x 768) for screen edit to see the whole page.  I need to add 3 more axis. (and the bottom of screen page is not even accessible to me)

could it be a 32bit Win7 OS issue? or the kflop needs to be connected?

Hello Mac,
Not sure about your first issue. But are you opening(Read Script)  the screen in the Screen editor before you start editing it? And then save it( Write Script)?

You can change the size of objects and screen in the Screen editor.
Also here is a link to video on Screen Editor. There are others on editor to.

Hi Mac,

Actually what you describe probably makes perfect sense - although admittedly confusing.

You should understand that each different view of a screen is a complete screen script defining a particular screen view.

Its up to you to consider and create each possible screen view your system will ever display.  There will be a separate screen script for each possible view forming a set of screen scripts.  In your case the majority of controls in each screen script will be the same but they could be all completely different for a completely different view.    The buttons on your views that switch views should load your screens and not others.

So for example to explain what you are seeing:

#1 you start with a screen script (A) that has the Jog Rate and "Arrow" Var Tab Button (and no Parameters)

#2 you push the "Arrow" button and it loads a screen script (B) without Jog Rate, with a "Reverse Arrow" button, wider screen, and parameter labels.

#3 you push the "Reverse Arrow" button and it loads an old split screen script (C) with no Jog Rate and no "Arrow" Var Tab Button

The solution would be to:

If you want Jog Rate on all your Screens then add it to your Screen B

Change the Reverse Arrow button on Screen B to Load Screen A (not C)

We only provide examples of what can be accomplished.  It would be hard for us to provide examples of all combinations of views.  So its up to you to create a coherent set of screens when you want to have more than one View.

HTH

Thanks guys
posted a couple of photos

looking to be able to update the variable Edit box for the variable I need to track, I created a generic list that I can hopefully set to the variable number needed for the program running. Have to assume I can read the edit box in a script and get the variable number, then manage to keep the edit box variable active while flipping screens?

Also was looking for a way to add a line feed to a text button, examples; "#var/n>>>"    "#var/n<<<"
and can additional fields be added to the screen script files, I tried adding Edit boxes in the scr file but they never showed. Tried rearranging the list and received an Endian error.

Pretty cool, now am starting to grasp this mojo

Thanks again
