Subject: 7 axis

Hello everyone.

I'm building a welding positioning machine, and the machine has 7 axis. Not all of them need to be moved simultaneously. Two of them are rotary A,B, three linear X,Y,Z, and other two linear U,V auxiliary axis.

My question finally is, how can i manage the 7th axis, by the fact that the command "DefineCoordSystem6", can only define 6 axis?.

There is a DefineCoordMotion8 function. From the KMotionDef.h file -

void DefineCoordSystem8(int axisx, int axisy, int axisz, int axisa, int axisb, int axisc, int axisu, int axisv); // define axis chan numbers to use as x,y,z,a,b,c,u,v (set -1 to disable)

Thank you for the reply.
Now i have another question. How can i implement two jog buttons on KmotionCNC in order to move the axis U and V. In the screen editor, at the default screen, there is'nt any buttons associated with axis U and V. Also i will need two DROs for the position of axis U and V. How can i implement all that?.
Any help will be appreciated.

We don't have standard DROs or Jog buttons for axes U and V.  You might add basic ones with the KMotionCNC Screen Editor.  Please read this Thread:
